White Boston lettuce seeds produce an old heirloom butterhead variety known since the early 1900s for its soft, tender texture and reliable garden performance. The plants form loose, pale-green heads with broad, silky leaves that have a mild, buttery flavor and a pleasantly delicate crunch. This variety prefers cool weather, making it ideal for spring and fall planting, and thrives in rich, well-drained soil with consistent moisture. To grow it successfully, sow seeds shallowly, keep the soil evenly moist, provide partial shade in warmer climates to prevent bolting, and harvest heads when they are full and firm for the best flavor and texture.
Now with Downy Mildew Resistance (DMR). Greenburst DMR has a yellow golden semi-double flower bursting around a green center. Provides a similar look to Gerberas, but of course, they have much longer stems. Flowers are profuse on branching plants. Give Greenburst DMR ample spacing and it branches abundantly over a long period. Is an excellent cutflower and blends well with other sunflowers. Pollen-less. Ht. 48-72". Avg. 620 seeds/oz. Packet: 25 seeds. NOTE: Downy mildew in sunflowers can still survive in infected soils. Cool and wet soils tend to have more issues with DM. Countryside is a beautiful dark green very uniform baby leaf spinach variety. It has thick smooth round oval leaves. Countryside has good holding ability for baby leaf and it has acceptable bolt tolerance for fresh market growers. Due to its moderate growth habit, it has performed well in many West Coast baby leaf growing slots.
The Pale Armenian cucumber is a crisp, mild flavored cucumber that grows long light green skinned fruits! This cucumber variety produces mild-tasting and deeply ribbed cucumbers. The elongated cucumbers yield uniform, easily digestible and fluted slices. The Pale Armenian is best grown on a trellis to produce straight and long cucumbers and can reach 24 inches long, but are best harvested at about 18 inches.
