White sage, scientifically known as Salvia apiana, is a revered perennial herb native to the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico. Traditionally used by Indigenous peoples for spiritual practices, such as smudging, it is believed to purify spaces and promote healing. White sage thrives in well-drained, sandy soil and full sun, and it’s often grown in gardens not only for its cultural significance but also for its striking appearance and drought-resistant qualities. The English Lavender is an improved lavender variety that offers 30% more young plants and a 80% minimum germination. This lavender is a popular variety for many bouquets that produces beautiful lilac flowers with lots of ornamental blue-gray leaves.

Borage is a mounded plant that produces beautiful blue flowers that are great for using as a garnish for different dishes or drinks. This large variety is a self seeding annual that bears hundreds of small edible flowers, mostly blue and some pink, over a long harvest. Borage has a mild cucumber flavor that is great for salads and garnishes. Medicinal: Seed oil is a rich source of gamma-linolenic acid.

The Evergreen Parsley is a dark green curly variety with an excellent flavor, fresh or dried, and is an All-American Selection winner for a reason! Cinnamon basil seeds produce a fragrant herb known for its unique, spicy flavor reminiscent of cinnamon, which is a result of its distinct oil composition. Originating from the Mediterranean region, cinnamon basil (Ocimum basilicum 'Cinnamon') has been cultivated for centuries, often used in culinary dishes and traditional remedies. The plants typically grow to about 12-24 inches tall, featuring dark green leaves with reddish-purple stems, adding visual appeal to gardens. The leaves are slightly crinkled and can be harvested throughout the growing season, with peak flavor occurring just before the plant flowers. Cinnamon basil thrives in warm, sunny conditions and well-drained soil, making it an excellent choice for home gardens and containers. Its growth habit is bushy and upright, attracting pollinators while deterring pests. With a growing season of about 60-90 days, cinnamon basil is not only a flavorful addition to dishes like Thai curry and salads but also an attractive herb that enhances any garden space.

Bucak was developed in Turkey from a flu cured, bright leaf Virginian tobacco imported in the 1930's from the US. It grows to 5' in height with large heavy leaves densely spaced on the stalk, and matures in 50 days. Averages 20 leaves per plant, 12"-14" wide and 22"-26" long. It tolerates heavy rains and wind well and will withstand early fall frosts with little or no damage. It air cures easily to a light brown.

The Vera Lavender is a very popular home garden lavender variety that produces a lovely, strong lavender scent that can be used to freshen up the home. This lavender variety has several uses including both culinary and medicinal properties. The Vera lavender plants grow to be 18" to 36" tall and produces a profusion of lilac-purple flowers on silvery foliage.

Bursa is one of the largest and heaviest producing varieties of Turkish tobacco, growing up to 8' with 30-34 harvestable leaves per plant. It's best to use staking for this giant tobacco. The unique flavor is spicy and sweet and the smoke is fragrant and highly aromatic. Bursa is an excellent tobacco for a pipe or blending in cigarettes.

Virginia 724 tobacco, a prominent variety in the world of tobacco cultivation, is renowned for its rich flavor, smooth smoke, and versatility in blending. This particular strain of tobacco is classified as a flue-cured Virginia tobacco, indicating that it is cured under controlled conditions, typically with the use of heat to enhance its flavor and reduce bitterness. Virginia 724 is distinguished by its bright golden-yellow to deep orange leaves, which are relatively large and broad compared to other tobacco varieties. The flavor profile of Virginia 724 is characterized by its sweet and slightly grassy notes, with a subtle hint of citrus. This makes it a popular choice for cigarette blends, where it contributes to the overall smoothness and mildness of the smoke. Additionally, Virginia 724 is often used as a base for pipe tobacco blends, providing a solid foundation upon which other flavors can be layered. Its versatility and consistent quality have made Virginia 724 a favorite among tobacco growers and enthusiasts alike, ensuring its enduring popularity in the tobacco industry.

Comstock Spanish is an heirloom variety classified as a cigar binder but also makes an excellent wrapper. It was developed in Wisconsin in the late 1800's after the civil war. It is believed it was developed from Wisconsin Havana Seed but was called a "spanish" variety, named after a pioneer grower. It grows to a height of 4 1/2' with leaves 12"-14" wide and 24"-26" long. Maturity is in 45-50 days. Plants average 20-22 harvestable leaves which are strong and have good elasticity when cured. The leaves droop downward with down turned edges when ripe.

The Forest Green Parsley is a delicately curled and compact variety that has long stems with dark green, double and tripled curled leaves. This type of parsley does well in containers and inside growing. Use the Forest Green's beautiful and delicious leaves fresh or dried.

Shargo originated in eastern Europe and is a hybrid cross between a white stemmed Burley and a Turkish strain. It has the vigorous growth and high production of a white stemmed Burley and yellows in the field as it reaches flowering and maturity at about 70 days. It has a spicy flavor more like many Turkish strains. It can be cut and hung whole or primed and strung to cure and dry. The plants grow to 7-8 feet in height to the bloom producing 16-20 leaves ranging from 13-17 inches in width and 24-28 inches in length. Shargo's unique flavor, heavy production, and early ripening and ease of curing, make it an excellent choice for new and experienced growers alike.

Gold Leaf Orinoco is a bright leaf tobacco that has been cultivated for generations in Peru. It has a pyramidal shape and grows up to 6' in height, with leaves averaging 22"-24" long and 12"-14" in width. It matures in approximately 60-65 days. Modern day varieties of Virginian tobacco were originally developed from Orinoco's. The flavor of Gold Leaf Orinoco is similar to the dark Virginian types of tobacco, with the upper leaves being the strongest. It is an excellent tobacco for a cigarette or pipe blend. With a nicotine content of 4%, Gold leaf Orinoco has a has a much higher nicotine content than most Virginians types or other bright leaf varieties.

Negro Black Also called "Tabaco Negro" in Spanish, is a name for dark tobacco that is dark in color and strong in taste. Black or dark tobacco is primarily used in cigars and dark cigarettes. It is often slowly darkened by a long curing and fermenting process to give a dark brown to black tobacco with exceptionally mild smoking characteristics. Negro Black grows 5' to 6' in height with a classic Virginian type plant form and leaf shape. The leaves are a medium to dark green averaging 12" to 14" in width and 20" to 22" in length. It matures in 55-60 days.

The Big Gem Tobacco is an heirloom Bright Leaf variety that has a great production of over 25 large, bright green leaves per plant. This tobacco variety reaches 5.5' or more in height and each leaf can reach 30" long and 18" wide. The Big Gem is drought tolerant and sunburn resistant.

Yellow Orinoco is an heirloom bright leaf which originated from the Virginian Orinoco's. It grows to 5' producing an average of 16 leaves per plant below the crows foot. It matures early at 55 days. Suckering is low, and is less than with White Stemmed or Frog Eye Orinoco. Leaves are light to medium green and average 12" to 14" wide and 24" to 26" long, with yields of 3 oz of dried leaf per plant. Leaves air cure to a light brown.

Ainaro is a variety of Dark sun-cured leaf. It was collected from the tobacco garden of a simple home outside the town of Ainaro, by Anton Eise DeVries, during his exploration of Timor Leste in 2016. The most distinctive characteristic of its large leaves is their petiole (bare leaf stem), suggestive of some pre WW2, Japanese cigar varieties. It can be stalk-cut, and sun-cured on the stalk, or primed. The finished leaf has a spicy character. It also cooks into a tasty Cavendish. Suitable for pipe blending.
