The Scallop Early White Squash, also known as Patty Pan, tastes great when harvested early at smaller size. This variety produces good yields of white squash. The Scallop Early White is very easy to grow and is rarely bothered by insects. The Scallop Early White is a bush type of squash that has a creamy texture that is very flavorful, suitable for both small home gardens and market growers.

Perfect tomato for slicing and sandwiches. With a 4-5 week harvest window, these dark red fruits grow on a compact, uniform plant and offer good resistance to multiple diseases common to homegrown tomatoes.

Flame Star offers a creamy orange cauliflower with improved heat tolerance. This variety grows well in both spring and fall. Produces medium size plants that are a bit lighter orange than Cheddar F1. Does exhibit much better tolerance to heat and stress.

Red Jewel is early maturing and produces good size cabbages. This variety is a high-yielding red cabbage hybrid with uniform maturity. Red Jewel offers a deep red head with a short core and is ideal for both fresh and shredder markets.

Thumbelina carrots are tender and sweet with no need to peel! It is the perfect bit size for fresh eating, stews and salads. Thumbelina's small size makes it a great choice for heavy or shallow soils or containers. No wonder it is an All-America Selections Winner from 1992!

Rouge D'Hiver Lettuce is a beautifully multicolored French heirloom romaine. This variety's green leaves are tinted with medium-red color at the tip. Rouge D'Hiver is not just beautiful, but it is also very tasty and very easy to grow. This lettuce is a home favorite for resisting heat and cold stress if well watered. This variety has been recently resurrected.

The Mammoth Salsify is known as the "Vegetable Oyster" due to its uncanny oyster-like flavor. This pre-1900 variety is shaped like a carrot and is native of the Mediterranean. Its long tapered roots average 8-10" long and 1" in diameter. Mammoth has a creamy white skin and white flesh with upright grass-like leaves  

The Chiko Burdock is a nutritious root with a curative medicinal property! Burdock is perfect for winter markets. The long roots of the burdock are among the hardiest of root vegetables, and not only overwinter in the garden easily for spring digging but also store well. The roots grow 12"-24" with skinny 1" diameters. Soil must be tilled deep for the long growth of these roots. Roots have a light brown skin and semi-straight bodies. Market with herbs, Asian greens, or include in root bunches. For fall, winter, and spring harvest and storage. Can be overwintered in soil, much the same as parsnips. Medicinal: Used as a gentle laxative and to help eradicate uric acid. Some active ingredients are known to be effective antibacterials and antifungals. Enhances performance of many of the organs which purify the body and eliminate toxins or waste (like the kidneys, liver, colon, etc).

The Big Jim is the largest of all chile peppers! This hot-medium pepper can get up to 12 inches long and tastes amazing in many different types of cuisine. The Big Jim yields 24-30 peppers per plant. The Progress No. 9 Pea is a very prolific and early yielding shelling pea! This wrinkle-seeded pea is fast growing and produces plump dark green pods. Little SnowPea Purple produces dwarf-sized vines with beautiful purple flowers. This pea plant is tiny yet productive and does well in small gardens or containers. The pods mature early and have a crunchy bite. Plants will reach a maximum height of 24 inches. For pea shoots, matures in 10 days. Expect slender, tight greens with minimal side branching, upright habit, and ease of harvest and stack.
