How to Grow Peppers

The Peter, aka Willy, Pepper gets it's name, well because of what it resembles! This variety is an old heirloom that is grown as much for its shock value as it is for for its culinary value. Peter is an excellent pepper for chili powder! Its pods are 4-6 inches long with blunt ends that resemble a mans private area, no joke!

The White Bell Pepper is a translucent white to pale yellow colored bell pepper with a crisp, sweet flavor. This pepper variety produces an abundance of white bell fruits. These peppers turn from translucent to pale yellow when mature. The White Bell is a great addition to any salad or meal.

The Yellow Petite Bell Pepper is a mini bell pepper with flavor explosion! This sweet mini pepper variety that is high yielding and ripens to a rich yellow when mature. The Yellow Petite Bell grows to 2-3 ounces which is the perfect snack sized pepper that is excellent for market selling or fresh eating in salads or sandwiches!

The Carolina Reaper is one of the hottest peppers in the world! This very hot pepper has a sweet chocolate-cherry under tone with hint of fiery citrus. The Guinness book of World Records has the Carolina Reaper at 1,569,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU). Use with caution, extremely hot!

The Alma Paprika Pepper is a great pepper for drying and grinding into paprika! This highly productive cherry pepper that ripens from cream white to orange and then to red. This pepper variety has thick walls with a mild flavor. The Alma Paprika grows well anywhere throughout the United States.

The Chocolate Habanero is an extremely hot chocolate-colored habanero! Currently, the Chocolate Habanero is recognized as the world's 4th hottest pepper! This variety is a favorite pepper in the Caribbean to make barbecue sauces and marinades. The Chocolate Habanero Pepper has a unique rich flavor that is un-duplicated by any other pepper. This beautiful chocolate brown pepper can be dried and smoked like the Chipotle, to produce an exquisite flavored sauce!

The Cayenne Long Red Slim Pepper is a traditional medium heat cayenne pepper with a great flavor! This variety is a long and thin pepper that produces unbelievably high yields. The Marconi Red Pepper is an Italian sweet pepper. This pepper variety is a very sweet thin-skinned pepper that changes from green to red with maturity and has 3-5 lobes.

El Eden (F1) Guajillo pepper is for Mexican mole. Pepper is a high yielding hot pepper of smooth, 7-8" fruit. Slightly hot peppers that turn from green to an orange-red-brown color when mature. This pepper is also excellent for drying and making powder. Skins are tough so not recommended for fresh eating.

This small bushy plant produces 3-5" wrinkly fruits that have thin walls and a sweet, mild heat. This variety is a delightful all-purpose pepper that can be enjoyed in numerous ways! Pick this pepper at the yellow-green stage for pickling or allow them to ripen greenish-red for eating raw or cooking! This is one of the lowest heat "hot" peppers that we offer, as it has a very slight heat with a more sweet flavor. When the Pepperoncini Italian is pickled, they become addicting!

A farmer back in the early 1900s bought some of these pepper seeds in Anaheim, California thus giving them the name they have today.
