Produces branched stems on attractive, cylindrical flower spikes. A slightly later flowering of bronze-purple blooms with yellow pollen, very attractive ornamental foliage grass. Young-plants require sufficient warmth.
The Monster series strawflowers are high yielding produces of fresh cut or dried arrangements. This variety has beautiful dark purple blooms. The Monster Purple variety produces extra large double blooms with long and strong stems. Blooms reach 2–2 1/2" across.
Produces an abundance of little snap peas that are delicious straight from the garden. This was one of our favorite snap peas in our trials at Urban Farmer. Little SnapPea Petite sets dainty, sweet, crunchy pods on a full-sized plant. Productive plants grow well in large containers, small gardens, or large gardens. Lemon Pixie is a dwarf sunflower with beautiful light lemon petals! Lemon Pixie is a very compact branching mini that is loaded with lemon flowers creating a carpet of bright color. The Merlot Zinnia Mix is a cool and refreshing mix composed of our ‘Meteor’, ‘Purple Prince’ and ‘Scarlet Flame’ Zinnia varieties. Recommended for cut flower bouquets as well as beds and borders. Beautiful pink bell-shaped blossoms on bright green foliage. 12-18" stems add movement and interest to arrangements. If cut back regularly these flowers will bloom continuously. A 5-7 day vase life once cut so these do best in casual bouquets or home cutting gardens. Also a favorite for hummingbirds in pollinator gardens. Also known as flowering tobacco.
Now with Downy Mildew Resistance (DMR). Greenburst DMR has a yellow golden semi-double flower bursting around a green center. Provides a similar look to Gerberas, but of course, they have much longer stems. Flowers are profuse on branching plants. Give Greenburst DMR ample spacing and it branches abundantly over a long period. Is an excellent cutflower and blends well with other sunflowers. Pollen-less. Ht. 48-72". Avg. 620 seeds/oz. Packet: 50 seeds. NOTE: Downy mildew in sunflowers can still survive in infected soils. Cool and wet soils tend to have more issues with DM. Symptoms include damping-off, stunted plants, yellowing leaves, and the presence of downy, white mildew on the undersides of the leaves.
