When to Plant:
Sow as soon as the soil can be worked. Sow indoors 3 weeks before planting date.
Sow fall plantings 6-8 weeks before first expected frost.
 
Fertilizing:
Use a 10-5-5 fertilizer 1-2 weeks before planting. Side dress every 2-3 weeks with more fertilizer. 2-3 lbs of fertilizer should be applied to every 100 square feet.
