When to Plant:
Sow as soon as the soil can be worked. Transplants can be sown indoors 2 weeks before planting date.
Sow fall plantings 2 months before first expected frost.
 
Fertilizing:
Use a high phosphorous fertilizer (8-16-16) two weeks before planting. Apply 2-3 lbs per 100 square feet.
