One Sucker is a dark air cured heirloom tobacco. It grows 4-5' in height with dark green leaves. Long leaves that can reach upwards of 3'. It produces 15-16 leaves on average, frost resistance and excellent wind resistance.
Mount Pima is usually classified as a Rustica, although this may be incorrect. It has the characteristic typical of N. Tobaccums. The leaves are large and pointed and it produces a pink flowers typical of tobaccum varieties, instead of the rounded leaves and yellow flowers of Rusticas. It grows to 3-4 feet in height and is very hardy. Leaves cure to a light brown and are mild to smoke.
Papante is a primitive variety that likely comes from southeastern area of the Mexican state of Sonora. A specimen is on display at the Conservation Center in Tucson, AZ. The plant's general appearance resembles that of both Little Dutch and Mountain Pima, though the leaf is a much darker green. It has been incorrectly listed and sold as Nicotiana rustica. Air-cures to a soft, light brown. Useful for cigarette, pipe blending and cigar filler. It’s relatively square secondary vein angle allows it to be used for cigar wrapper or binder. Samsun tobaccos originated in the Samsun region of Turkey near the Black Sea. Samsun Maden is a sub strain of the original Samsun with a lighter colored leaf and milder flavor. The plant has columnar shape with the characteristic heart-shaped leaf with a fringed petiole. It reaches an height of 6 feet with 22-28 leaves averaging 12 to 15 inches in width and 16 to 18 inches in length. It reaches maturity in 50-55 days, ripens early and is usually sun cured. It makes a good stand alone cigarette, and is very good for cigarette and pipe blends.
Yumbo is a primitive strain of tobacco grown by the Yumbo tribe in the upper Amazon basin. It grows to 3' in height and matures in 45-50 days. The thick leaves are a dark green color averaging 9"-12" in width, and 14"-16" in length. The edges turn yellow when ripe and cured leaf has a nicotine content of 1.8%.
NB 11 is a Burley tobacco developed in New Brunswick Canada. The pant reaches a height of 5' to the crows foot with 14 - 16 very thick and heavy weight leaves. The pyramidal plant form and low height gives it excellent resistance to wind and heavy rains. Maturity and blooming occurs at about 65-70 days with the leaf ripening about 10 later.
Gold Leaf Orinoco is a bright leaf tobacco that has been cultivated for generations in Peru. It has a pyramidal shape and grows up to 6' in height, with leaves averaging 22"-24" long and 12"-14" in width. It matures in approximately 60-65 days. Modern day varieties of Virginian tobacco were originally developed from Orinoco's. The flavor of Gold Leaf Orinoco is similar to the dark Virginian types of tobacco, with the upper leaves being the strongest. It is an excellent tobacco for a cigarette or pipe blend. With a nicotine content of 4%, Gold leaf Orinoco has a has a much higher nicotine content than most Virginians types or other bright leaf varieties.
Gold Leaf 939 is a bright leaf Virginia type tobacco with very good yields of leaf averaging 12" wide by 20" long. It grow 5-6 feet in height with closely spaced leaves and matures in 60 to 65 days. It has excellent uniformity between plants which makes it easy to manage. Suckering is very low. The leaves turn yellow as it ripens, and air cure to a light golden brown.
The American 14 Tobacco is Bright Leaf tobacco variety that is imported from Ukraine that will produce 30 leaves per plant. This variety is a tall plant reaching 6' or more in height and is drought tolerant and sunburn resistant. Each American 14 leaf can reach 30" long and 15" wide.

Harrow Velvet is a medium flavored Burley with excellent curability and a short aging time. It has a columnar plant form with tightly spaced leaves which are very uniform in size. Almost no suckering. Leaves grow to 24" inches long by 14" wide when mature. Will go from green to golden yellow when fully mature. Leaf cures to a medium buckskin brown. An excellent plant for priming or to cut and hang whole. Very good wind resistance.
