Corn

Carousel is an open-pollinated variety that produces 3.5" long miniature ears of popcorn. Some ears are solid red, the others are multicolored: white, yellow, and blue. When popped the flakes are crispy with very little hull. Plants are up to eight feet tall with two or three ears per plant.

Silver King corn is a sweet, all-white hybrid variety prized for its tender, juicy kernels and mild, delicious flavor. The Silver King is earlier than the Silver Queen variety and every bit as tasty. This corn is a Sugar Enhanced (SE) corn type that is amongst the earliest corns to mature. With slightly larger ears than of 16 to 18 tightly packed rows of snowy white kernels pack every ear of this succulent corn! The stalks reach 6 to 7 feet high and are wonderfully resilient, tolerating Rust, Stewart's Wilt, and Northern Corn Leaf Blight.

Passion corn is one of the most tender and delicious yellow corn you can grow. This corn variety is a very delicious and easy to grow corn. If you want sweet, yellow tender corn with good holding ability after harvesting then the Passion corn variety is for you!

VK Early is a fast growing corn variety that grows to 6-7’ tall with ears reaching 7.5-8.5" long. Kernels tend to be mostly yellow with some brown or maroon finish. Yields well for an open-pollinated variety with mostly flinty type ears.

Get a jump start by planting the Trinity corn early in cooler soil! This corn variety is a slender, 8" ear that has 14-16 rows of fine-grained, tender-crisp, very sweet kernels. Trinity as strong germination for early, cool soil planting. The average plant height is 5'. This corn is great for cooler climates!

The Country Gentleman corn is one of the best tasting open-pollinated corns available! This heirloom variety is a sweet, delicious corn with milky kernels that was first introduced over 100 years ago. Country Gentleman is a white variety with 8” ears. Its ears have no rows, as this is a shoepeg type, and its kernels are packed in a zigzag pattern. Country Gentleman is one of the best heirloom sweet corns in our opinion!

An augmented bi-color corn type that was developed at the University of Florida. Everglades had great trial results throughout the Northern and Southern areas of the USA. Everglades has a high level of consistency, a nice dark green package, good kernel contrast. an easy snap and it maintains these qualities in a wide range of conditions while retaining the high eating quality of the Augmented hybrids. Rebellion is a full season synthetic population derived from crosses among commercial and university corn belt dent inbred lines. Quite uniform Rebellion, it has the Ga1s trait to discourage cross pollination from unwanted pollen. Ga1s are naturally occurring traits in corn that will greatly reduce outcrossing with plants that don’t carry the same trait. This trait is called gametophytic incompatibility. This trait helps prevent accepting unwanted pollen from transgenic and other field corn. Rebellion was developed by Dr. Frank Kutka and the Seed We Need Project.

Mosby White Prolific is an old and popular dent corn variety first developed in 1876 by J.K. Mosby of Mississippi. Produces strong and tall stalks often reaching 10-12' tall with 2-4 ears. Ears often reach 8-9" with creamy white kernels. By the early 1900s, most of the major Southern seed houses, as well as newspapers full of farmer's advertisements, were selling the seed. Although now fairly rare, 'Mosby Prolific' was once extensively grown for feed and silage; particularly in the South and Gulf States.
