Caltha brings glossy foliage and bright yellow spring flowers to saturated garden sites. The low clumps are especially useful around pond edges, rain gardens, and consistently wet borders. Early blooms provide seasonal color while many perennials are still emerging. Give plants rich, moisture-retentive soil in sun or partial shade.
