Chelone
Chelone produces upright spikes of hooded flowers above sturdy, deep green foliage. Native turtleheads thrive in moist borders, rain gardens, and woodland edges where soil does not dry severely. Their late flowers extend color and pollinator activity into the end of the growing season. Plants spread gradually into durable colonies in sun or partial shade.
