Moringa
Tender edible leaves, flowers, and young pods all come from moringa, a remarkably fast-growing tropical tree. Feathery foliage gives it a slender, airy look in warm climates. In cooler regions it can live in a large container or be treated as a vigorous annual that is cut back for repeated leaf harvests. It loves heat and full sun, tolerates dry spells once established, and needs protection from frost. The large seeds are easy to handle, and a short soak before sowing in warm soil gets them off to a quick start.
