The Fancy Nantes carrot gets its name for its very smooth skin and fancy cylindrical shape. These carrots can grow up to 8" long with a very sweet and crisp flesh. Ingot (F1) is a long Nantes hybrid with both high color and flavor. It received highest marks for its “sweet flavor and texture” in a taste test. Ingot is an ideal choice for home garden and specialty. Produces high carotene levels of 120 – 170 ppm which lead to deep exterior orange color.
