Tips
Pests & Diseases
Kohlrabi is susceptible to black rot, clubroot, downy mildew, and Alternaria. Clubroot distorts roots and prevents normal stem enlargement. Use clean seed, rotate all brassicas together, avoid moving infested soil, and adjust low soil pH only from test results. Remove soft-rotting bulbs promptly.
Kohlrabi may attract cabbageworms, loopers, aphids, flea beetles, and slugs. Inspect frequently, use physical barriers early, and choose targeted biological controls instead of broad-spectrum insecticides.
