Upland White Goldenrod (Oligoneuron album) is a distinctive North American native plant. Compact plants carry uncommon white goldenrod flowers and thrive in dry, open ground where taller species may struggle. It matures at approximately 12 inches tall and flowers from late spring to early summer through early to mid summer through mid to late summer. Plant it in full sun, in dry to dry-medium conditions, with sandy soil, dry soil or poor soil. Space plants 12–18 inches apart for healthy growth and airflow.

Pests & Diseases
Rust, powdery mildew, leaf spots, and aster yellows occur on goldenrod. Most foliar disease is cosmetic; cut infected stems after bloom. Remove entire plants with distorted green flower clusters because aster yellows persists systemically. Thin spreading colonies and control leafhoppers where the disease repeatedly appears.
Aphids and thrips may cluster on goldenrod buds, while mites, Japanese beetles, slugs, and caterpillars feed elsewhere. Remove badly damaged growth, collect visible pests, and choose pollinator-conscious controls only when monitoring shows a need.
