About Southwest, Native Grass Mix Seed
Southwest Native Grass Mix features drought-adapted bunchgrasses selected for arid western landscapes. Fine blades, compact clumps, and airy seed heads create a natural meadow that remains visually light. Species in the blend tolerate strong sun and lean soils once their roots are established. The planting suits xeriscapes, habitat edges, and erosion-conscious revegetation.

Tips
Pests & Diseases
Good airflow and appropriate spacing reduce most leaf-spot and rust problems. Avoid frequent evening irrigation that leaves foliage wet overnight. Native grasses growing in suitable soil rarely need fungicide treatment.
Young seed may attract birds and rodents, so firm soil contact and a light clean mulch can reduce losses. Inspect seedlings for grasshoppers, cutworms, or other chewing insects before damage spreads. Encourage predators and tolerate modest feeding in habitat plantings. Use targeted controls only after confirming the pest and a damaging population.

Native range describes natural occurrence, not the origin of this seed lot or every location where a plant can be grown.
Alaska and Hawaii are shown as insets. State-level range does not mean a plant occurs throughout every part of that state.
