About Northeast, Native Grass Mix Seed
Northeast Native Grass Mix balances warm- and cool-season grasses for a resilient regional meadow. Upright blades and distinctive seed heads mature between two and four feet, creating movement without overwhelming companion wildflowers. The blend spans sun-loving prairie grasses and adaptable wildryes for extended seasonal growth. Established stands provide cover, seed, and nesting structure for wildlife.

Tips
Pests & Diseases
Good airflow and appropriate spacing reduce most leaf-spot and rust problems. Avoid frequent evening irrigation that leaves foliage wet overnight. Native grasses growing in suitable soil rarely need fungicide treatment.
Young seed may attract birds and rodents, so firm soil contact and a light clean mulch can reduce losses. Inspect seedlings for grasshoppers, cutworms, or other chewing insects before damage spreads. Encourage predators and tolerate modest feeding in habitat plantings. Use targeted controls only after confirming the pest and a damaging population.
