Growing great cut sunflowers
Days are counted from direct seeding to first bloom. Sow single-stem types every 10–14 days for a steady supply, spacing them about 6 inches apart for bouquet-size heads or wider for big flowers. Cut when the first petals lift off the center, early in the morning, and put stems straight into water.
