Shop and grow herb seeds and plants for home gardens. Urban Farmer has trialed several herb varieties to find the highest quality plants. Our herb seeds have high yields, easy to grow, and have great flavor.

This plant produces a deep dark heirloom tobacco that gives good weight. This is a tobacco prized by growers because it provides a great wrapper tobacco, a rich flavored pipe tobacco, or a premium snuff tobacco when ripe. It grows to 4-5 feet in height. The leaves grow up to 30 inches in length and 16 inches in width and are often fire cured.

The Spicy Bush Basil is a very bushy basil variety that produces tiny, bright green leaves that have a big spicy, sweet punch! This variety's small green plants resemble compact boxwood bushes with a beautiful round top.

Little Dutch is an heirloom variety dating back to the 1880's. It is sweet aromatic tobacco used in pipe blends and as a cigar filler. It grow to around 3' in height and has narrow leaves growing up to 30" long. The long narrow leaves also make an excellent cigar wrapper. Excellent choice for container growing.

KY15 is a white stemmed high yielding Kentucky Burley. It has multiple disease resistance with excellent yield potential. Forms a plant with closely packed leaves with almost no suckers. Leaves turn yellow as they ripen, curling down around the edges. Excellent for curing and hanging stalks. The leaves dry to a light orange brown. Highly resistant to tobacco mosaic virus, wild-fire, and black root rot. Medium to high resistance to Fusarium wilt and tolerance to TEV.

Jasmine is a fast growing ornamental that can be planted in early spring. It starts blooming in only 3 weeks after transplant and produces a profusion of sweet smelling flowers that last all summer long. The flowers close during the day and reopen in the late afternoon. Jasmine has one of the sweetest fragrances of any flower we have grown and its scent will fill the evening air in the surrounding area. It is also very attractive to Hummingbirds

The American 14 Tobacco is Bright Leaf tobacco variety that is imported from Ukraine that will produce 30 leaves per plant. This variety is a tall plant reaching 6' or more in height and is drought tolerant and sunburn resistant. Each American 14 leaf can reach 30" long and 15" wide.

The Big Gem Tobacco is an heirloom Bright Leaf variety that has a great production of over 25 large, bright green leaves per plant. This tobacco variety reaches 5.5' or more in height and each leaf can reach 30" long and 18" wide. The Big Gem is drought tolerant and sunburn resistant.

Magnolia is a cigar wrapper which produces a high quality oval shaped leaf averaging 16" wide by 20" to 24" long. It grows to 8' in height, maturing in 65-70 days and produces 24-26 harvestable leaves. It has little to no suckering before topping. The leaves turn a lighter green with yellowing tips and mottling when ripe. Magnolia is very similar to Moonlight, but it produces 2-3 less leaves per plant and matures 7-10 days earlier.

Shirey is a dark Virginian type tobacco with a mild flavor but with a fuller richer flavor than Virginia Golds have. It is an an excellent tobacco for a cigarette or pipe blend. It produces a large leaf that air cures easily to a medium brown. It is a hardy plant and with stands moderate late season frosts. Grows to a height of 5 1/2 to 6 feet and matures in 65 days.

Black Sea Samsun originated in the Samsun region of Turkey near the Black Sea. It's prized for rich flavor and aroma, but yet mild to smoke. It grows 4'-5' in height and matures in 65-70 days, and is often sun cured. An excellent blend for cigarettes or pipes, or on its own.

The Cherry Red Tobacco plant is a cigarette and cigar tobacco that is also a great ornamental herb that produces big, bright yellow-green leaves. This Bright Leaf variety is a heavy producing tobacco plant that can grow to be over 7 feet tall. The Cherry Red plant yields over 25 big leaves per plant that are 24" long and 15" wide.

Mohawk Rustica is native to Central America as was widely cultivated by Native Americans and grown through out the southern US. It grows to 3' in height and is similar to Aztec, but with less branching. The leaves are thick, dark green in color and are among the largest of any Rustica variety. The flowers are a bright yellow and are densely packed. Mohawk is very high in nicotine content.

A general use Genovese basil plant that is great for fresh market and live-plant production. Dark green leaves with Genovese aroma. Semi-compact plant with excellent disease resistance. (PS5) Potted Small-Leaf 5

The Lettuce Leaf Basil has very large, hand sized, creased leaves that resembles a lettuce leaf, but has a great traditional basil flavor! This great production basil variety is favored among farmers and people who like a lot of basil due to its yields produces lots of foliage.

The Mrs. Burns Basil is a customer favorite that is known for its deliciously sweet and tangy lemon-lime flavor and scent! This popular basil variety has many wonderful culinary uses. The Mrs. Burns blooms pinky blooms that add a beautiful pop of color.

Catnip is a very fragrant herb that is great for making aromatic teas, as well as giving it to your cats as a treat! This vigorous plant is not only great for playing with a cat, but is also known for having medicinal properties for getting rid of the cold and flu. Organic seed available.

The delicious aroma of the Sweet Marjoram is similar to oregano or thyme, but has a sweeter fragrance that adds a mild and fresh taste to different dishes. This variety is a compact plant with beautiful, edible flowers, which have a mild and marjoram-like flavor, and can be used to garnish salads, soups, stews, sauces, and stuffing. Both the leaves and flowers of the Sweet Marjoram pairs well with citrus, mushrooms and fish.

Lovage is a popular culinary herb that produces fine, dark green leaves that have an aroma and taste that is similar to celery. Its leaves can be used in salads, soups as well as added to poultry dishes. The Lovage's roots and stems are also edible. The yellow flowers that this herb produces in June to July attract beneficial insects such as bees.
