Mirabilis

Mirabilis waits until late afternoon to reveal much of its charm. Flowers open as the day cools, offering color and fragrance when moths and other evening visitors become active. The branching plants tolerate sunny, well-drained sites and bring an informal rhythm to prairie edges and cottage gardens. They are especially rewarding near patios or paths where their evening display can be enjoyed up close.
