Dark Tobacco Seeds

Shirey is a dark Virginian type tobacco with a mild flavor but with a fuller richer flavor than Virginia Golds have. It is an excellent tobacco for a cigarette or pipe blend. It produces a large leaf that air cures easily to a medium brown. It is a hardy plant and withstands moderate late season frosts.

Greenwood, also called Little Wood, is an heirloom fire-cured tobacco that has been used for chew, as a cigar filler and wrapper, and as a blend for cigarettes. It grows 5' to 6' tall. It produces 16-18 harvestable leaves averaging 14"-16" wide and 24" long, which ripen 2-3 weeks after blooming begins.

This plant produces a deep dark heirloom tobacco that gives good weight. This is a tobacco prized by growers because it provides a great wrapper tobacco, a rich flavored pipe tobacco, or a premium snuff tobacco when ripe. It grows to 4-5 feet in height. An heirloom tobacco that originates from Maryland. A high yielding crop with sharp pointed leaves. Catterton grows 3' to 5' tall, with leaves up to 30" long and 16" wide. Air cures easily to a rich reddish brown color. A medium flavored smoke which is excellent for cigarettes alone, or as a blend. Also used in cigars and pipe tobaccos.

One Sucker is a dark air cured heirloom tobacco. It grows 4-5' in height with dark green leaves. Long leaves that can reach upwards of 3'. It produces 15-16 leaves on average, frost resistance and excellent wind resistance.

PY KY 171 is a pale yellow breeding line that is agronomically comparable to KY 171. It is a dark fire-cured tobacco with high resistance to black root rot, wildfire, and TMV. The plants grow to a height of 5-6 feet to the flower and produce from 14 to 17 leaves per plant. The leaves grow in a semi- erect position, averaging 11-13 inches in width and 24-30 inches in length with good overall yields.
