Ice plant is highly susceptible to Pythium or Phytophthora root rot in moisture-retentive soil; occasional leaf spots and Botrytis follow winter wetness. Translucent, collapsing stems should be removed immediately. Replant only in sharply draining soil, keep mulch away from crowns, and root replacements from clean, firm shoots.
Ice Plant may develop mealybugs, scale, mites, or fungus gnats. Check crevices and the root zone, improve drainage, and repeat targeted soap, oil, or systemic treatment only as labeled.
