Pests & Diseases
Powdery mildew is bee balm’s most frequent disease; rust, southern blight, and root rot may also occur. White leaf coating, orange pustules, stem-base decay, or sudden wilting are warning signs. Choose mildew-resistant varieties, provide sun and airflow, divide crowded clumps, water at soil level, and remove infected debris in fall.
Spider mites bronze bee balm leaves during hot, dry weather; aphids cluster on tips, stalk borers hollow stems, and thrips feed within flowers. Remove wilted stems below borer damage, rinse aphids away, and improve moisture management. Check blooms before bringing cut stems indoors.

Its Role in the Native Ecosystem
Panorama Mix adds a range of flower colors to a bee balm planting. Its tubular blooms provide nectar for visiting hummingbirds, bees and butterflies during summer. As a cultivated mix, it is best used alongside locally appropriate native species to build a varied, season-long food supply.
Panorama Mix Bee Balm Native Range Map
Native range describes natural occurrence, not the origin of this seed lot or every location where a plant can be grown.
Alaska and Hawaii are shown as insets. State-level range does not mean a plant occurs throughout every part of that state.
