A perfect summer squash, with a mild, sweet and full flavor taste. The perfect time to pick the Yellow crookneck is when its young and about 6 inches in size. The inside will be very tender with a creamy consistency.

SOWING: Fertile, well-drained soil with a pH of 6-7.0 is best. Plastic mulch and fabric row covers (AG-19 grade) can aide plant establishment and exclude insect pests during the seedling stage. Row covers should be removed when plants begin to flower. Sow seeds 1″ deep, spaced 18-24″ apart in rows 6′ apart.

HARVEST FRUIT: Harvest regularly, 2-3 times a week, once plants begin to produce. Cut or gently twist off fruits when they have reached the desired size. For summer squash, 4-6″.

STORAGE: Keep fruit at 40-50°F with 95% relative humidity.
